Sales, the future of the Web

Many people think that virtual is the main theme of the internet. Many think that social interaction thru chat is the focus of the web. Gamblers have found a safe haven to gamble their money away on the web. Some say the most unsettling media content is the main focus of the internet. People in the Electronic business don’t think so. They see the web as the place to sell, sell and sell some more.
In fact online sales in the electronic category have grown to almost 17% last year and revenue generated is in the area of $13.6 billion. There is much room for growth as only 14% of total sales of consumer electronics, come from the web. That means that there is much room for growth. An example of a product that is not likely to be bought at your local hardware store is the Tangent Wave Panel .This device is a low cost control panel used for Color Correction. Someone in the color correction business will not saunter down to local electronic store to buy himself this apparatus ,it won’t happen. The preferable way is going to internet comparison sites and getting the best deal possible.
The web is for sales and as big as it is now consumer sales through the web are in their infancy. There is only one way up.
The internet is certainly the information highway but the goal is selling something and making money. The sky is the limit on this.
